Tiffany and Joey’s Engagements

January 18, 2012 – “One of the things we love most about our job is meeting so many wonderful couples.  What a treat it was to take Tiffany and Joey’s engagement photos up in Park City this week.  The thermometer registered a chilly 17 degrees and the clouds quickly gathered to give a beautiful light snowfall.  Tiffany and Joey love the outdoors, hiking and snowshoeing together, so this was a perfect backdrop.  They are delightfully fun and completely in love.  They met in a singles ward and had only been dating a week.  Tiffany was supposed to be in Moab on this particular day, but broke her foot and had to stay home.  Joey invited her over to have some take-out Chinese food with some friends.  There was one fortune cookie left, so they decided to split it.  Inside was not one, but two fortunes saying exactly the same thing . . . “A new relationship is about to blossom.  You will be blessed.”  No, Joey did not plant these in the fortune cookie, but it seems that this was definitely more than a random coincidence.  Destiny brought these two beautiful people together and the rest is history.  We look forward to their wedding at the end of February at the gorgeous Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple!  We seriously had such a difficult time narrowing down their photos . . . so many cute ones!!!  Which photo is your favorite?”  Glade and Corinne

Katelyn and Chris’ Snowy Wedding

December 28, 2011 – “On a cold, blustery day in November, Katelyn and Chris were married for time and all eternity in the beautiful Draper Temple.  It was an especially meaningful day for them as they received confirmation in numerous ways that Katelyn’s grandma, who has long since passed away, was witnessing her sealing to Chris.  She had made a wedding quilt for Katelyn before the Draper Temple was even built.  It has a beautiful log cabin pattern.  The log cabin pattern is used in the windows of the temple.  When Chris and Katelyn knelt across the altar in the temple and were making their sacred vows, sunshine came streaming through the windows on a very cloudy day.  When they came out of the temple after greeting their friends and family, sunshine once again broke through the thick clouds to shine on Katelyn and Chris.  This was no coincidence.  Katelyn knew that this was a sign from her grandma.

Brides love planning all the details of their wedding . . . usually from the time they are twelve.  Grooms are not as actively involved, but Chris did have one request.  He wanted to be married on his grandma and grandpa’s wedding anniversary.   And so they were . . . November 18.  Chris called his grandma up during the reception for a special presentation, giving her a bouquet of anniversary flowers.  At one point during the dancing, Katelyn danced with her grandpa and Chris danced with her grandma.  It was such a sweet and touching moment.

One of the highlights of the evening was the fresh fallen snow.  The snowflakes were as big as silver dollars!  It was a beautiful send off for the new bride and groom.  Much better than bubbles!  Thank you, Katelyn and Chris, for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.  It was a pleasure from beginning to end!”  Glade and Corinne

Andrea and Taylor’s Engagements . . . find the hidden pineapple?

December 19, 2011 – “Andrea and Taylor have known each other for eleven years.  They met at a coffee house while at school in S. Carolina and their friendship grew to love.  Absence is definitely making their hearts grow fonder as Andrea is in Utah and Taylor is finishing law school in Washington D.C.  We got a rare combination of fresh fallen snow and beautiful fall leaves for their engagement session at the Garden Park Ward and This is the Place Park.  They also wanted to prove to their friends on the east coast that their eastern ‘mountains’ are really just hills.   One of their favorite shows is “Psych” and a pineapple is hidden in every episode.  Can you find the hidden pineapple in their engagement photos?   As luck would have it, there was even a pineapple in the coffee shop on 9th and 9th in Salt Lake City where we finished our photo session.  Can you spot it?  We loved spending time with Andrea and Taylor and are so excited for their wedding on May 12!!”   Glade and Corinne

Lora and Aaron’s 11.11.11 Wedding

December 15, 2011 – “On 11.11.11 at 11:00 a.m., Lora walked down the aisle towards her anxious groom.  Aaron’s face was priceless as his jaw fell to the floor at the sight of his stunningly gorgeous bride!  It was a beautiful and touching ceremony as they shared their love for each other surrounded by family and friends.  The venue, Tai Pan Trading in St. George, Utah was amazing . . . so elegant in every detail.  We had the unique opportunity to have some time with the bride and groom amidst the spectacular red rocks.  We ended our photo session at the Snow Canyon overlook.  This was a special place for Lora as she used to walk there from her home nearby when she was a girl.  Her favorite thing was to sit on the edge of the cliff and watch the sunset.  Could she ever have imagined that someday she would be back in the very same spot with her husband?  We had to get some photos of her sitting in her wedding dress on the same cliff where she used to sit and dream as a girl.  It was a sweet moment!  Lora and Aaron are so incredibly in love.  You can feel it when you are around them.  It was a pleasure from beginning to end to work with them.  Congratulations and may the honeymoon never end!!”  Glade and Corinne

Aalders Family

November 30, 2011 – “The Garden Park Ward was bustling with activity as families were taking advantage of the gorgeous fall weather to get their photos done.  Beverly and John used to come to the beautiful grounds of this building when they were dating.  How fitting to be back with their grown children and grandchildren to get family photos.  Suckers came in handy to bribe the adorable children into submission.  We enjoyed our time with the Aalders family!  Here are some of our favorites . . . “  Glade and Corinne

Jessica and Andrew’s Top Secret Engagement Photos!

November 23, 2011 -  “Jessica and Andrew are avid Runnin’ Ute fans.  We thought it would be fun to get some engagement photos in their stadium.  We asked at the ticket office if they would mind if we took some pictures.  ‘Sure, no problem!’, they said.  We went up into the stands to get some photos and three big, burly men descended on us faster than the secret service.  ‘What are you doing?!’, they demanded.  We explained that we just wanted to take a few engagement photos.  They said that no one was allowed in the stadium while the Utes football team was practicing.  We gave them a sad sob story and they agreed to let us take just a few pictures, but we couldn’t point the camera towards the field.  We hurriedly took our photos as the men looked on suspiciously!  We thought we would be tackled ourselves at any minute.  Who knew that football practices were so top secret?!!

After our top secret mission, we went to Memory Grove and got so many beautiful pictures of these two cute lovebirds that we had a really hard time choosing our favorites.   It was a gorgeous fall day with a gorgeous couple.  It is hard to take a bad picture of Jessica and Andrew.  Wow!  Of course, a fall engagement session wouldn’t be complete without a good leaf fight.  What a kind, fun and wonderful couple.  We are very excited to be a part of their wedding at the Salt Lake Temple in March.

These photos will self-destruct in ten seconds!!”  Glade and Corinne
