James and Varinia’s wedding . . .

June 8, 2012 – “James met Varinia’s family while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Uruguay.  He went back to Uruguay after his mission, courted Varinia and they fell madly in love.  Long distance relationships are challenging . . . he actually proposed via Skype.  Varinia’s family had a pretend ring hidden behind the computer and brought it out just at the right moment.  James did a second proposal in real life on his next trip to Uruguay.  It was their dream to be married in the Salt Lake Temple and Varinia’s family wanted to be there.  It is very difficult to get multiple visas for a family, but when the interviewer asked them why they were going to the US, they explained about the wedding in the Salt Lake Temple.  The interviewer “happened” to be a member of the LDS church and said he couldn’t think of a better reason to send Varinia’s family to the wedding.  It was truly a miracle!!  What a privilege it was to be with James and Varinia and their families on this joyous day!  James and Varinia’s love for each other is evident and we couldn’t be happier for them.  To see more of their beautiful wedding day, see their “love story” video on our website.  Here are a few highlights from their wedding day . . . ”  Glade and Corinne
